About Berlin 2023

From 17 to 25 June 2023, the world will be watching Berlin.

Because that's when more than 7,000 athletes with intellectual and multiple disabilities will compete against each other at the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin.

For the first time ever, the world's largest inclusive sporting event will take place in Germany. A colourful festival of sport with a total of 26 sports and two demonstration sports. The Special Olympics stand for more participation of people with intellectual disabilities.

Host of the 16th World Games

The anticipation for the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin 2023 is enormous. Berlin is not only a city with a great history.

Some national teams will run into the stadium at the opening ceremony of the World Games in 2019.

Berlin is the city that breaks down walls and overcomes borders. This characteristic unites the capital of Germany with the Special Olympics. That is why it will be a great celebration to welcome the athletes from all over the world here. We want to change the world and achieve more social participation. Together we are unbeatable.
